school colour run

The school had a colour run today to raise funds to purchase 3 3D printers. And what a success the run was. Kids started off so tidy and clean in their bright white shirts but that certainly didn't last long.

With the help of parent and teachers the course was run around parts of town with colour stations at four places. The kids left the school and headed to the Showgrounds with the first water canons and colour station with an obstacle course to be tackled. From there they headed back towards the school's tech block were there was another obstacle course and colour station. Before getting powdered the kids were hosed down so the powder would stick. There was even an adult strategically placed up in a tree with a good line of sight with his hose.

From there the kids made their way to the town oval for yet another obstacle and colour station. The last one was back to the school were the kids were hosed by the CFS truck and then truly bombed with coloured powders. It was such a sight and bloody good fun.

I had volunteered to take photos for the school to use and of course I had a few of my own kids too.

I really hope this happens again next year if at all possible. Now the kids know what its about, the fundraising done prior to the run would be more enthused I'm sure. Everyone came away with huge grins and a sense of camaraderie.

I just had to post the last photo first as its such a cracker.
